Matcha tea leaves, from the Camellia Sinensis plant, are specially grown in shaded areas away from direct sunlight, which produces matcha's characteristic bright green hue. The matcha leaves are then dried and ground into a fine green tea powder, which is then mixed with water to create an earthy tea.

Add 1 teaspoon matcha powder to 2.5 oz. hot water. Whisk the matcha using a bamboo whisk or other utensil until a rich foam forms on top. Add milk or sweetener if desired.
