Description
Called as bell peppers or capsicums, sweet, mild peppers come in a variety of colours also, are related to chillies. Whatever colour they are, they’re essentially the same variety, but allowed to ripen to different degrees; green are the youngest and sharpest, followed by yellow, orange and then red, which are the sweetest.
Storage: Store capsicums in plastic bags and they will keep up to five days in a fridge. The green ones will keep slightly longer than the other, more ripe, varieties. They should not be stored near ethylene-producing foods such as pears or apples! Also suitable for home freezing.
Preparation: A great addition for salads, grilling, stuffed and of course perfect for snacking!
